Residents are what populate your Residential buildings and give you City credits 
, Education points 
and/or Production points 
as rental income as well as Needs Fulfillment income, when its Needs are satisfied. Residents are divided up into three groups Capitalists, Students and Workers; each with their own specific attributes.
Capitalist[]
Capitalists are one of the three types of Residents that can occupy Residential buildings. In residences, they give City credits as rental income, which are used to purchase additional buildings, upgrade existing buildings, buy some packages and to buy and sell items in the Market. When its Needs are satisfied, they will give City credits as additional revenue.
Student[]
Students are one of the three types of Residents that can occupy Residential buildings. In some residences, they give Education points , which are used to train professionals in the Academy, instead of City credits as rental income. When its Needs are satisfied, they will give Education points as additional revenue.
Worker[]
Workers are one of the three types of Residents that can occupy Residential buildings. In some residences, they give Production points , which are used in and to build Manufacturing Facilities, instead of City credits as rental income. When its Needs are satisfied, they will give Production points as additional revenue.
